Barto was sold to another farmer. He was such a great pig. We don't know his fate, but he was castrated which doesn't bode well. But the years he spent with us were, I hope, happy ones for him. We hope to stay about 1 more year to build the business and then head back to the US. I'm currently pregnant with our first child and, although I want her to know and love the farm, I also want to give her all of the educational opportunities the US has to offer. We hope the farm will be thriving by then and we can leave it in good hands while we are away.
